The Schleswig-Holstein regional control center network is one of the most modern control center infrastructures in Europe. The cooperative regional control centers are beacon projects with supra-regional appeal. The network itself sets standards with its high technical performance, its redundancy principles, its fallback levels and its networking within the framework of cross-control center cooperation. The Central Coordination Office of the Regional Control Center Network at the Schleswig-Holstein State Police (LPA 23), based in the state capital of Kiel, is responsible for the technical operational security of the police and municipal regional control centers, in particular for IT security and functional assurance through ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) management.

At the Schleswig-Holstein State Police, the State Police Office is responsible for the
possible date, full-time and for an indefinite period, for the following position

If you are confident in the following, then you have come to the right place:

  • The systems you manage enable the handling of around 500,000 police operations and over 250,000 fire and rescue service operations per year
  • You ensure that the emergency calls 110 and 112 work day and night
  • They ensure that the information and communication technology of the regional control centers remains up to date and continues to set standards in the future
  • You represent the central coordination office of the regional control center network and work closely and trustfully with the police system administrators and the municipal system administrators (m/f/d) to ensure the operation of the security-critical infrastructure
  • You develop solutions together with service providers (m/f/d) for control center technology, authorities and our cooperation partners in an appreciative manner
  • You enjoy working in a team and can identify with the values of the blue light family

Your area of responsibility:

  • Ensuring the target availability, integrity and confidentiality of the IT infrastructure of the regional control center technology and thus a stable IT infrastructure of the control center technology in the state of Schleswig-Holstein
  • Testing, evaluation and (further) development of IT concepts and IT standards for cooperative and police regional control centers, also as part of projects
  • Administration, maintenance and proactive troubleshooting of the complex, highly available and diverse IT system landscape of the regional control centers
  • Planning, coordinating and controlling technical and operational processes in collaboration with the authorities and service providers involved
  • Technical advice and support for requirements and change projects with regard to the specific needs of control center technology
  • Participation in the development of a new standardized command and control system for the regional control center network
  • On-call duties to ensure the smooth operation of the regional control centers day and night
  • Design and further development of IT service management processes

We expect:

  • Completed (technical) university degree in the field of computer science or a comparable degree with current professional experience or
  • Relevant completed vocational training, e.g. as an IT specialist (m/f/d) with at least two years of current professional experience or relevant, current professional experience of at least three years
  • Willingness to undertake business trips lasting several days and to be on call, as well as extensive further training
  • Class B driving license (class 3 old)
  • Readiness for safety check Ü1

Advantageous for the application:

  • In-depth knowledge of server technology, network technology, operations management software or in-depth knowledge of ITIL management or project management
  • Knowledge of control center technology or as a system administrator (m/f/d)
  • Communication skills and a pronounced willingness to work independently and problem-solving in a team
  • Very good written and oral expression
  • Ability to think logically and analytically and to work conceptually
  • A high degree of responsibility and the ability to work in a team
  • Flexibility, initiative and goal orientation
  • Good IT user skills and enjoyment of digital collaboration
